Yeah, we are using Postgres, but the same thing was on HSQLDB. We did some trick though - we created our own 'Sequence Number'. In DB we created 'Sequence' table, and using 'nextval' we are receiving next sequence number. It works fine even with many transactions at one time.
We are waiting then for next Tersus release :)
