This project contains several applications for managing calendars and events.
This web application was initially built by Jan Pieter van de Giessen as an excercise to learn the Tersus environment.
It allows you to maintain a list of historical events, each classified by country (e.g. "Nederland") and category (e.g. "History / War" or "Catastrophe / Disease").
You can also view all events that occured in a specific date (in any year) or in a specific range of year.
Jan Pieter plans to use this application as the basis for a larger application for checking and analysing astronomical observations.
A web application to manage your calendar and view events on a timeline. Provided by Jan Pieter van de Giessen.
The application demonstrates the integration of a 3rd party control into a Tersus application: Tersus manages calendar data, providing the means to add, remove and update events in the calendar; The Simile Timeline widget is used to provide a novel visualization method of calendar events.
The application also demonstrates localization of a Tersus application into multiple languages: The display language is controlled by setting the browser's default language; The translations are managed in a special view (Maintenance/Language ), with complete translation for English and Dutch and partial translation for French and German. Labels that don't have matching translations are displayed as they appear in the model.
To use the full functionality of this web site, JavaScript needs to be turned on.
For best results, use the Firefox browser..
