If you put your PHP pages on the same server as the Tersus application, it's not too difficult to communicate back to Tersus:
Your IFrame's opener object should point to the Tersus window, so if you add a custom event to your view (e.g. <On PHP Event>), with some triggers (e.g. 'Trigger A' and 'Trigger B'), your PHP page can invoke the Tersus event using the following Javascript code:
opener.tersus.invokeAction('<On PHP Event>', {'Trigger A':4, 'Trigger B':'Some text'})
