There's no plan of changing this any time soon, but I can suggest the following workaround:
Divide the process into two stages.In the first stage create a file and store it in a temporary table (implemented using a server-side action, before calling Show File), returning an identifier (or error).In the second stage, and only if an identifier was returned, call Show File, or use a Callable Service instead.
