Hey guys... not sure if I am going about this the correct way, so forgive me on this topic.
I am trying to make use of FusionChartsFree package which will create some nice charts but the only catch is that it only reads xml files. My thought process here was, I could create an xml file on the server based on a find, and then call the graphing package via html.
The first problem I am running into is not understanding how to create a file from the results of a query. I tried creating a query against a table, and then linking that table to a service which would have it's contents written to a file in xml format. I am sure there are several steps to this. From what I can gather I will need to do something like the following:
1. Create the xml format in some sort of text buffer? (How is this done?)
2. Convert that buffer from text to binary? (or can it be written as pure text?)
3. Use write resource to output the binary to a file on the server. (How exactly do I specify a path on this one? I tried looking it up, but my only guess is to create a constant with the value of something like ".")
I know there are alot of questions here, so I appreciate any direction you can provide!
Thanks!
Jim
