Tersus: Connecting to DB2 on IBM iSeries(AS/400)

Download JTOpen from the IBM web site (http://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/download/search.jsp?go=y&rs=expastbjm3) or from sourceforge (http://jt400.sourceforge.net/)

Copy the jt400.jar (included in the JTOpen package) to the jre/lib/ext folder under the Tersus Studio installation (and for deployment to the common/lib folder under Tomcat)

From within the studio, connect using a Configuration.xml file like the following:

<Application name="<Project Name>" rootSystem="<Project name>/<Project Name>"

   <DataSource name="jdbc/Main"

        driverClassName="com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver"

        username="<User Name>"

        password="<Password>"

        url="jdbc:as400://<Server IP Address>/<Schema Name>;prompt=false"

        validationQuery="<Any valid query>" />

</Application>

For deployment, use the JDBC properties above to adjust one of the standard context files.
