The Requisition Management System is a simple web-based system that allows employees of a company to request the purchase of products (laptops, furniture, office supplies, etc.).
Employees can enter new requisitions, and then managers should approve or reject each requisition. The approved requisitions are handled by purchasers, who issue purchase orders, and when the items ordered are delivered, requisitions are considered fulfilled and closed.
This application, which is the sample application included in the Tersus Tutorial, is a down-sizing of a system developed by Tersus Sofware for a customer in early 2004.
In order to simplify the usage, the application does not restrict users, so any user can act as either an employee, a manager and a purchaser. This means you can enter a requisition and then approve it yourself.
