Stage 5 - Public TweetsDate: Apr 14, 2010

In the model editor, zoom into <iPhone View>/Body/Public Tweets Screen.

Right click Public Tweets Screen --> Add Element: List.

Right Click List --> Add Element: Content Item.

From the Basic section of the palette drag and drop Action to Public Tweets Screen/List (or use the keyboard shortcut 'a'). Name the Action Init.

Modeling the Public Tweets Init:

In the model editor, zoom into <iPhone View>/Body/Public Tweets Screen/Public Tweets Init.
Right click --> Add Ancestor Reference: List.
From the Basic section of the palette drag and drop Service (or use the keyboard shortcut 's'). Name the Service Get Public Tweets.
Add an exit to the Get Public Tweets service and make it repetitive.
Create a flow from the repetitive exit of Get Public Tweets to List/Content Item.
Init should like simialr to this:
Modeling the Get Public Tweets:
- From the Constants section of the palette drag and drop a Text constant with the value: 'http://twitter.com/statuses/public_timeline.atom'. Note the Rename window that pops up – this is because model names may not contain the '/' character. Rename the element to Public Tweets URL.
- In the Repository Explorer right click: Twitter/iPhone/Get Top Trends/Download URL action, and from the context menu choose Copy.
- Right click anywhere in the Get Public Tweets service and choose Paste (reuse).
- Create a flow from the "Public Tweets URL" text constant to the trigger of the Download URL action you have just created.
- Import XML Structre:
  - From the Miscellaneous section of the palette drag and drop Parse XML.
  - Create a flow from the exit of Download URL to the <XML Document> trigger of Parse XML.
  - Save the XML file 'http://twitter.com/statuses/public_timeline.atom' to your computer (you can do so using your web browser: view the source of the page and save that text to a file on your computer).
  - In the Repository Explorer: Right click Twittter/iPhone/Get Public Tweets, and from the context menu choose: New --> Package. Name the package: PB XML.
  - Click the package you have just created, and from the menu bar choose File --> Import --> Import XML Data Structre By Example. Click Next. Click Browse and choose the XML file you have saved, then click Finish.
  - Your Repository Explore should look similar to this:
- From the Repository Explorer drag and drop Tweeter/iPhone/Get Public Tweets/PB XML/feed to the Get Public Tweets Service.
- Create a flow from the <Parsed Tree> exit of Parse XML to the feed data structre.
- From the Basic section of the palette drag and drop Action (or use the keyboard shortcut 'a'). Name the Action Convert To Context Item and make the action repetitive. Add to the action a trigger (keyboard shortcut 't') and an exit (keyboard shortcut 'e').
- Create a flow from feed --> entry to the trigger of Convert to Content Item.
- Create a flow from the exit of Convert to Content Item to the repetitive exit of the Get Public Tweets service. So the service should look similar to this:
- Model Convert to Content Item:
  - Right click the trigger of Convert to Content Item and choose Show in Repository. From the Repository Explorer drag and drop the entry data structure into the action.
  - Create a flow from the trigger of the action to the entry data structure that you have just added.
  - In a similar manner: Right click the Convert to Content Item exit and choose Show in Repository. From the Repository Explorer drag and drop the Content Item into the action.
  - Create a flow from the Content Item you have just added to the action's exit.
  - Create a flow from entry/author/name to Content Item/Content/Title Text/<Value>.
  - Create a flow from entry/title to Content Item/Content/Content Text/<Value>.
  - From the Basic section of the palette drag and drop Action (or use the keyboard shortcut 'a'). Name the Action Get Image URL and make the action repetitive. Add to the action a trigger (keyboard shortcut 't') and an exit (keyboard shortcut 'e').
  - Create a flow from entry/link to Get Image URL trigger.
  - Create a flow from Get Image URL to Content Item/Icon Image/<Path>.
  - The Convert to Context Item action should look similar to this:
  - Model the Get Image URL:
    - Right click the trigger of Get Image URL and choose Show in Repository. From the Repository Explorer drag and drop the link data structure into the action.
    - From the Text section of the palette drag and drop Starts With.
    - Create a flow from link/#type to the <Text> trigger of Start With.
    - From the Constants section of the palette drag and drop a Text constant with the value: "image"
    - Create a flow from the "image" text constant to the <Prefix> trigger of Start With.
    - From the Flow Control section of the palette drag and drop a Conditional Flow.
    - Create a flow from link/#href to the Data trigger of Conditional Flow.
    - Create a flow from the exit of Conditional Flow to the exit of Get Image URL.
    - Create a flow from the <Yes> exit of Start With to the Control trigger of Conditional Flow.
    - Get Image URL should look similar to this:

Save the model and launch the application (

).

Note that you can switch between the two screens in the application by clicking either Top Trends or Public Tweets icons.
