I can confirm the type propagation bug. See #378.
The changes to type propagation in 1.3.48 were aimed at both improving performance, and better support for Anything/Nothing data types, but of-course the explicit dataTypeSetting should not be ignored.
We hope to provide a fix asap, but it might take a few days, so you should consider reverting to an earlier version.
