Stage 1 - Creating the applicationDate: Jan 31, 2021Tags:Demo,VideoPreparationsEventually our application will enable entering sales data (e.g. by importing an Excel file), but to save time now, we will start from a template project that already contains a database with fictive 1 year data (for the year commencing at January 1st 2011).The data refers to 3 product segments:

Appliances

Entertainment

Toys

The template project also contains 3 image files that will be used as icons for these segments:

Importing the Template Project

SalesDemo.Template.tersus.

Your Tersus Studio will be launched, displaying the Tersus Import File dialog.

Press OK (without renaming the project - it should remain SalesDemo).

In the Repository Explorer, double click the SalesDemo ptoject. If the import has been successful, the top level model will be opened in the Model Editor.

Initial Modeling

Double click <iPhone View> to zoom into it.

Add a top header by right clicking <iPhone View> and selecting Add Element -> Header.

Zoom into Header, delete the redundant Header Button (right click and select Remove Element), and rename the Title label to Sales Data (right click and select Rename).

Our applications doesn't contain much yet, but we can already see it. Save the application and press the launch button in the upper toolbar (

). The application will start within your browser, in a screen simulating an iPhone.

Note: Make sure Safari is the default browser (from the main toolbar, select Window->Preferences->General->Web Browser).
