I hope this isn't a serious omission on my part. I skipped step 1 to install the JRE since "java -version" reports: java version "1.5.0_07" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_07-164) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_07-87, mixed mode, sharing)
I did make a clean install. When the clean 3.3.1 install of eclipse and gef reported that it can't find gef 3.0.1, I used an old gef 3.0.1.
I didn't install anything other than whatever came with 3.3.1 eclipse and gef.
If you direct me how to provide the logs, I'll gladly oblige.
The attachment shows the error at step 6 when I check the box, with the details floating over.
