Tersus: Deployment

Deployment Date: Mar 28, 2019Tags:DeploymentTersus Applications are deployed in the Tersus Server.When you develop an application, you can run it immediately. The Tersus studio contains an embedded application server (Tomcat) and an embedded database server (HSQL DB), which allow for instantaneous automatic execution of the modeled applications.For deploying applications operationally you need an external application server (e.g. Apache Tomcat or a J2EE application server). The Tersus Server components can be deployed on a variety of platforms, using industry-standard application servers and accessing any JDBC compliant database server.

The Tersus Server has been tested on the following:

Server O/S: Windows, Linux (RH - Fedora Core, Ubuntu), Mac

Application Server: Apache Tomcat (6.0 & 5.5)

Database Servers: DB/2, HSQLDB, Microsoft SQL Server (2000/2005/2008), MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL

Client Browsers: Microsoft IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari

The deployment process of Tersus Applications is divided into two parts:

Setup of the Tersus deployment environment
This is performed once on each deployment machine, and includes installation of the application server, database server and Tersus server components.

Deploying the Tersus application
This is performed for each application being deployed. Once the Tersus deployment environment is set, you may use it to deploy multiple applications on the same deployment machine.
