The plain answer is Yes. But the question is too generic for this to be the final answer ...
Given that there is probably more than one method to implement your application using any platform, including Tersus, the real question is what is what would be the best method in Tersus given your specific requirements, resources and skill-set.
In other words, I'm not sure a direct mapping to the low-level capabilities of straight Java is the way to go with Tersus.
Given that you know your requirements, resources and skill-set better than anyone, I suggest you acquaint yourself with Tersus. You probably would want to start off viewing a few demos, continue with some Tutorials section. You can also download some examples, to check out the modelling.
