The problem lies with the names of tables and columns in the database being in Chinese, which is not supported in most databases (including the embedded HSQL).
To workaround this limitation, either rename the database record and data elements to English, or leave them as is, and use the tableName/columnName properties (accessible via Window>Show View>Properties) to specify an English translation for each element.
