Stage 2 - Opening a form to record visitor detailsDate: Apr 8, 2012Adding Some ActionWhen the user clicks the New button, we would like to open a form in which he/she can type the details of a new visitor (name, phone number, etc.).

Return to the Studio, and zoom into New. Further zoom into <On Click> (this is what the application does when the button is clicked).

Add to <On Click> a dialog (select Dialog from the Mobile section of the palette and then click inside <On Click>; name the dialog New Visitor).

Zoom into New Visitor and then into Content.

Add to Content some detail fields, e.g.:

Name: select Text Field from the Mobile section of the palette and then click inside Content; name the field Name).
Title: Similarly, add a second text field and name it Title.
Company: Add a third text field Company.

The Dialog model now looks like this:

Save your changes and return to the browser. The application will automatically reload, and if you press the New button, the New Visitor dialog will open:
