Hi David.
You wrote: "to install a newer version you will need to perform the manual (cross platform) installation described here or wait until we manage to solve the update issue at which time we will provide a new dmg for the latest version available at that time."
I navigated to the "here" link. There it says: " Offline Installation Procedure The procedure is similar to the online procedure, except that you should download the update site as an archive (the Tersus Studio - Cross Platform download link in the Downloads page), and in step 4, instead of entering the Location, click the Archive... button and point to the downloaded file." Up to step 4 the installation is identical, according to this explanation. Step 2 of the online procedure states: "Select Help -> Software Updates to open the Software Updates and Add-ons dialog" If one does as instructed, then one receives an error dialog stating: "Cannot launch the update UI. This installation has not been configured properly for Software Updates." This error message, if I am not mistaken, is the symptom of that very problem that we Mac users get when trying to update online. I.e. updating online and updatig offline both result in the same error dialog? (Or perhaps a different on?) In either case, I - and probalby other Mac users as well - are stuck. Any ideas, good news? TIA, Elan
