Further reviewing of godaddy's shared hosting offer indicates that even when Java support was available it was with a quiet old version of tomcat (5.0.x), and furthermore in a shared manner, meaning you have no option to restart tomcat or configure it at will, and therefore quiet possibly unusable for the purpose of installing Tersus (at least as the current installation procedure stands).
I cannot comment on the availability of low-cost shared hosting options supporting Tersus.
It seems that dedicated servers do not pose any limitation.
