Timer - New FeaturesDate: Nov 21, 2007The following changes were made to the server side implementation of the Timer plugin:

It is now possible to specify <Delay> until first invocation or an explicit <Start Time>

The <Fixed Frequency> trigger makes it possible to indicate that the <Interval> is from start to start and not from finish to start (the defualt behavior).

You can set a "one time" Timer by omitting the <Interval> and making the activity non-repetitive.

The <Interval> is now measured in milliseconds, to be consistent with the client side implementation. Instances of this plugins created with previous versions retain the old behavior (the pluginVersion).

These changes make it possible to use Timer for the following use cases:

To run an activity every day at a given hour, use Timer with <Start Time> and <Fixed Frequency>=Yes

To run a process asynchronously based on a clien request, create a one-time timer.
