Tersus: Text Area

Text AreaDate: Apr 8, 2012Text Area is used to prompt the user to enter some text.Initially the display includes 2 text rows, but if the user types a longer text, additional rows are added as required.While Text Field is used for relatively short text strings (e.g. a person's name), Text Area is a better fit for longer texts (e.g. some free text description of the person).Text Area contains the following elements:

<Value> - Set it to the initial value you want to display on screen. The user may modify it, and <Value> will then contain the modified value.

<Caption> - If exists, a label with the element's name (still under development - the ability to set a different caption) is displayed on screen just before the input field. On a narrow screen (e.g. an iPhone), the label appears in a separate line. On wider screens (e.g. iPad), the label appears in the same line.

<On Change> - An action performed when the value is changed (to add it, right click Text Field and select Add Element -> <On Change>).
