Generating URLs with additional parameters is possible using Display Actions/Create Location.
Use Display Actions/Get View Parameters to retrieve the values of the parameters on the application URL. You can do so in the view's init process as well as in the <On Location Change> event (fired whenever the application URL changes) ... which is execrably the process used for replacing content on this site as a result of changes in the Id parameter on the URL.
