Hi Elan,
Regarding your specific questions:
1. The default page that is loaded is the page called "Home". Maybe you have more than one page called "Home" in your database?
2a. The autoscrolling news box is a <marquee> element added manually to the page source:
<marquee bgcolor="#ffffff" direction="up" scrolldelay="75" scrollamount="1" loop="infinite" onmouseout="this.start();" style="text-align: right" onmouseover="this.stop();" id="user_testimonials">${filter_html(include_page(175),"P,SPAN")}</marquee>
The content of the marquee is taken from page #175 , after stripping all html tags except 'P' and 'SPAN'
The marquee is started using the script that has been added to the page (in the script box at the end of the edit dialog):
2b. The page is divided using HTML tables and css.
3. I don't think there's a special width set for the registration link. You can probably just change the label in the model, but a more general solution would be to populate the <Caption> of this label with the content of some system parameter.
4. You can currently create a role that only has the permission to edit pages, but there is no special permission for changing the type of a page. To add that permission you'll need to modify the model (setting the Type chooser to <Read Only> if a user doesn't have permission "Modify Page Type").
5. To add your custom application pages, you will need to add more types to your application. Today the types are more or less hard-modeled, but we would like to make this more modular (ideally make it possible to add more types without touching the basic model). This is now possible using the the new <Model Id> trigger of "Create", but will require a change in the tersus.web model.
6. We will consider spinning off and renaming the tersus.web as a separate project. In the meantime, contributions are most welcome.
Regards,
Youval
