It seems this problem still exists and also occurs in IE10.
Is there any chance this problem will be resolved? At this moment the only solution/workaround is adding in the "welcome-nonav-template.html" the following meta-information: <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7"> (this forces compatibility mode in IE)
