Could you provide additional information regarding your application? Perhaps provide an export of the application you modeled. using File > Export > Tersus > Tersus Project File to create an .tersus file which you can attach to a forum post.
If you are following the Step by Step tutorial, you are not required to import the Tutorial 2-3 (and susbsequent) samples. The samples are provided as reference only, and match the screenshots up-to that stage.
Working with a smile database is exactly what the tutorial is all about, so I suggest you continue following it.
