It can deploy to Windows, Mac OS and Linux, and for iOS and Android.

Bootstrap UI framework for Tersus

Hi,

Understand from http://www.tersus.com/?Id=7916 that using the New Mobile Application template, we are able to go some way towards using the Bootstrap UI framework.

However after playing around with the Display elements in the Palette for New Mobile Application template, without any documentation, find that the UI design is not as not as intiuitve as using the usual Display elements of other templates.

Maybe its because i'm very new to Bootstrap or maybe its the mental transition from the old display elements to new display elements. An example was a question i raised http://web.tersus.com/?Id=8020

Had a thought about what might be a good way forward to utilise the Bootstrap framework, have drag and drop feature for display elements and also rather intuitive in designing the UI in Tersus. What i did was go through what's out there for Bootstrap UI editiors in http://mashable.com/2013/10/20/bootstrap-editors/#wBnnbKHL9Squ

Going through the free programs, i wanted a program that i could start producing something within minutes without reading any documentation, doing it by pure intuition. The two programs i found fit are Pingendo (http://pingendo.com/) and LayoutIt! (http://www.layoutit.com/)

Of the two, i find Pingendo a better fit. Maybe Tersus team can have a look at Pingendo and LayoutIt!. Some inspiration might come out of it to enable Tersus users to harness Bootstrap functionalities with ease. Especially prefer Pingendo for its variety of components and the Structure section of components.

In terms of logic programming in application, i don't think there is a visual programming platform out there that can beat Tersus. If Tersus can ease the way in developing visually appealing applications combined with strong logic programming, its really 如虎添翼 (like a Tiger has grown wings) :)

Studio linux version

Hi. I started to develop app on Windows machine and now i want to use Linux.The problem is under Linux version, the studio show couple of problem and the app is incomplete, in the debugging just show red boxes instead of action boxes. I think this is because the Linux version studio is older then the others. Is it possible to install newer version of studio to Linux? Thanks

Have been using Tersus for the past 3 years and find it a great platform to work with.
Sentiments shared in this thread http://www.tersus.com/#Id=7922 and a few other threads
i've come across.

Was wondering about the possibility of having a forum or conference similar to http://www.reddotrubyconf.com/ in which Tersus can

- showcase updates and changes
- announce plans ahead
- sound out ideas
- gather feedback
- exchange views
- allow Tersus to gain greater visibility
- create awareness and gain more users

Understand at this point in time, we might be unable to predict the response. But
perhaps Tersus can sound out on possibility of doing this and solicit response so as
to guage number of people who are keen and interested to show up.

Would be a great opportunity for like minded individuals to meet. Maybe anyone who's
keen on the idea can contribute your views in this thread. Am sure like minded folks
here would love to see this platform gain a larger following.

I am wondering what the preferred deployment method is for Tersus users.

I like the possibility of managing the applications on the server, but this requires the full Tersus Studio installation, including Eclipse: Has anyone looked into the potential security issues with this scenario?

If Tersus Studio could deploy directly to the server, without having to go through the process of copying the application over and creating the Application Context File, that would be great, as that would ease not only security considerations but also the need to have the entire environment running on the server and using up resources.

Inasmuch as you have created Tersus Studio, would Tersus consider creating a Server deployment package that included a base configuration (that included the JRE, JavaMail, JAI, Tomcat, HSQLDB, Driver and Tersus Server as known and working versions)?

I think ideally, the possibility of using Tersus Studio to remotely update/manage/etc the applications would be an ideal solution.

Are people mainly deploying in-house?

I suppose that what I am looking at here is the ability to deploy, much like the Quick Hosting solution provided by Tersus, on a local server.

How this would tie in with Starting and Stopping the Application/s I'm not sure, but it would be nice to be able to do so from a remote instance of Tersus Studio.

iphone tutorials fail in the browser

I have tested the Sales Demo and Twitter tutorials and they both fail in Chrome and Safari (with Wine). I'm on Ubuntu 10.10.

The Sales Demo contains an empty unordered list [UL]. No categories are shown.

The Twitter app doesn't even show the iphone background in either browser. It has a waiting message and then is just blank. However, the app works perfectly on the tutorial page hosted on your web server.

Could there be an interference because I already have apache running on my machine at localhost:80?

On that note... :)

- I'd like to have proper/full email integration (including IMAP).

- Integrated low level I/O (for connected devices over USB/Bluetooth) with high level abstraction.

Application orientation

Hi,

So very new to all this and following the tutorials seem to confuse just as much as they help. Anyways, when making the application how do I switch orientation of the application? It seems that default runs in horizontal mode and so far all it seems that all mine end up being horizontal when previewed in browser. One tutorial I was following showed that the application in preview mode should be vertical however looking back at the instruction I could find no instruction how this was accomplished.

Any advice would be great!

Slow flow

Hello!

New version seems to works fine (retyping triggers etc.), so just maybe one modeling performance issue is left:

putting a flow from trigger to exit or from exit to trigger is very slow while using mouse to do it, but if setting properties - very fast (like renaming now)
