The tutorial should work on the latest version, but is not recommended as far as UI design is concerned, because it makes little use, if at all, of the palette's Mobile category which is specifically designed for mobile displays. This is why I recommended in my initial response other tutorials.
Regarding installation of 2.1.1 (current latest), I want to reiterate what I explained previously. There is no need to install it from scratch (using the manual method described @ http://www.tersus.com/#Id=241). You can rather upgrade an existing installation currently running a previous version (say stable 2.0.3.1) by setting up the latest update site as explained @ http://www.tersus.com/#Id=239.
